My Guide is a relatively new scheme which Debbie Playford coordinates in Lowestoft and across Suffolk on behalf of Sensing Change working in partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The scheme aims to support people with sight-loss deal with the sense of isolation which all too often prevails.

The first-ever Buy Local Week in Lowestoft was a great success with the team being out and about in all parts of the town... We were chuffed with the overwhelming support from local people who really do want to Buy Local.

And this weekend sees its 30th anniversary!
To get you in the celebrating mood Pleasurewood Hills are offering one £2.50 entry with every £19 admission - £2.50 is how much the admission was back in 1983.

The dedication and courage of volunteer lifeboatmen will be marked on Saturday 26th January when Lowestoft Lifeboat fundraisers and crew will host the annual SOS day on behalf of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) as part of its SOS - Save Our Souls - campaign.
