In Ashby this morning we've 6 inches of soft powdery snow, which apparently is just a taster of what's to come later when the "real" snow arrives, direct from Siberia. Cool! In more ways than one. Time to stoke up the log fire in thebestofloughborough office and have a laptop day I feel.
My son's school was one of a handful left open in Leicestershire, although attendance today was optional; I took him in mainly because I thought he'd have more fun there with his friends than he would at home. Might have a 2 mile walk later to fetch him back though. Hmmm.
