Well I've just bought 2kg of pork shoulder, 0.5kg of sheep's intestines (sausage casings) and a mincer and attachment for my Kenwood Chef, so this weekend I'll be having a sausage-making orgy at chez thebestofloughborough.

My 8-year-old and I decided on three recipes last night:

- apple and calvados
- paprika
- sage and dill (or general whatever's in the herb patch)

So look out for thebestofsausages in a shop near you shortly! Maybe David North will stock them...! I live in hope.

Or - it'll be a disaster and the kitchen will look like the scene of a pig murder. I'll let you know.
