I required new front discs + pads, and rear shoes on my Picasso. To save some money, in these times of recession, I purchased the parts online with the intention of having them fitted at a local garage (support local businesses). However, the first garage refused to fit them (no money to be made from the parts) and the second wanted £187 + VAT. I did some internet searching and came up with 'The Best of Loughborough', where I found Matt. A phone call later and the work was booked to be done.
When Matt arrived I found him to be smartly presented, polite and very professional in his approach. He carried out the work extremely competently and even advised me that the rear shoes did not require replacement. When it the time came to pay Matt reduced the bill by £10 as he did not have to carry out the rear brake work (even though he still cleaned & checked them). Matt is an excellent mechanic & a thoroughly nice bloke. USE HIM or LOSE HIM! He takes milk & 2 Sugars in his coffee , by the way.

I heard a loud scraping noise when pulling in outside my house; on inspection the exhaust was touching the ground. As the car was unmoveable I searched for a mobile mechanic and found Matt on the net. As I needed the car, Matt fitted me in the same day, turned up prompt and only charged me £20! Thanks Matt!

My alarm was playing up so I decided I'd just cut the alarm and be done with it. The alarm went off but my immobiliser cut in and my car wouldn't start. It was boxing day so I didn't think I'd get anyone round but Matt came round within 10 minutes. He told me what I'd done and was honest about what could be done. He ran me through a few possibilities on how to proceed. Anyway he had the car up and running and also fixed the original problem of the alarm and all at a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use M J Fisher again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly, well-priced and honest mechanic.

Matt has just M.O.T and serviced my car. He did it quickly and at less than half the price a garage would charge. I asked him to renew my rear brake shoes he checked them, cleaned them etc but said there was no need for new shoes. How many garages do you know that would heve done that? Every one I had been to would have changed them and charged me for it. Matt is the most honest and reliable mechanic I know.

Not knowing the area particularly well, I have been looking for a reliable mechanic for a while... it looks like I've found one. Matt came to my home at my convenience and at short notice, did an extremely professional and thorough job and explained everything really clearly to me as he worked. The price was exceptional. I will definitely be using MJ Fisher in the future whenever I need work doing on my car and would highly recommend them to others.

Matt did a great job with my car. He tried to keep cost to a minimum by only going to the most expensive option once the other; quick to find out and cheaper options had been eliminated. In my case a new clutch was the last resort but there was no extra charge for time spent trying the cheaper options. He was giving me feedback though all of this as he was either on the phone when I was out, or on my drive, so I could see problem for myself and spent time explaining the real root of the problem. He had an excellent work ethic and because of this would definitely use his services again. He was also about 25% cheaper than other quotes I got off other garages in the local area that I rang, but adding to that, you know the genuine problem and can see exactly what is being done to your car which gives you huge peace of mind.

I had a broken head gasket on my car and having rang around local garage services came across Matt.
He was by far the most helpful on the phone explaining what would need to be done and the possible cost implications.
His level of service form that initial phone call to the final hand shake was excellent. Doing the work on time, on budget and thoroughly professional.
I will definately be using him again for any future work required as he made the stressful scenario of a broken car a lot more bearable. Many thanks Matt

Asked Matt to MOT my car while on holiday, contacted me by e-mail advising me car had failed, advised me on the price of repairing the vehicle so it would pass the MOT before he went ahead (very considerate). I e-mailed him back giving him the go-ahead & the car had its MOT & was ready for use by the time I returned. Fully satisfied with his approach to business & with the work that he carried out. After attempting to fix my sports bike myself, soon after, the engine oil met with the rear tyre!! I soon realised I should have left it to a professional! Unable to ride the bike to a garage, I came across Matt’s company. Although it was a motorbike Matt assured me that he would have a look at what I had done and try to fix it.
To cut a long story short, Matt turned up prompt on the day & arrived before I went to work, then rang me about ¾ of the day through to tell me that the bike was fixed and running. When I got home, the bike was fixed & to my surprise cleaned of all the oil I had subjected it too. Even better was the invoice (£80!!) It would have been hundreds if I had taken it to a Main dealer!!
Now I recommend Matt to everyone! 10/10

As i couldnt move the car i searched for a mobile mechanic and found Matt, after a brief call he diagnosed the problem gave me a quote and because i was desperate he called round the very next day.
Matt turned up when promised and had me back on the road in under 3 hours and the best part? he charged me £90 total (£40 labour) and he even got my windscreen washer working and pumped my tyres up to the correct pressure.
Matt was an absolute star...10/10

Iʼm a self employed landscaper. It was exceptionally convenient for Matt to do a full service and change the cam belt on my works vehicle while I was at work. This meant that I didnʼt have to give up a days work to have work done to the vehicle. He gave fast and efficient service at a reasonable price. I would and have recommended him to anybody. Iʼm glad I have found a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.
