All Cathedrals have their own "definition" and this has a "feel" which is not too grand but gives a comforting feel of the numinous.

We booked the evening Candlelit tour in the Evening. This was an unexpected treat. The Guides were well informed and very amusing, which made the tour so interesting. Hot mulled wine and biscuits after in thre Stables.Would really recommend this to everyone, unmissable.

Well worth a visit; I have taken groups of children around the cathedral several times and every time they have been awestruck. The history, the architecture and the atmosphre are fascinating and staff only too pleased to help and inform.
