Wow what can I say, I only found out about this place 2 weeks ago and since then have already returned 4 times! This time I returned with my daughter (10months), my 84year old nan and my mum.
My daughter and I absolutely love this place, you can tell that everyone is so passionate about the animals, they are very happy to tell you anything about them and get the animals out to pet them and are just genuine lovely friendly people - nothings too much trouble.
I have already recommended this amazing place to the baby group we go to and I would recommend to any family looking for a lovely afternoon day out. It's all on a level and it has benches all the way round which enables easy access for the disabled, elderly and pushchairs.
Every day they have some activities to take part in; whether it's collect an egg from the chickens, sit on a pony, brush a pony, or interact with the tortoises.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to the manager and to Kyle for making my nans lifetime wish come true... Just another example of staff going above and beyond for their visitors. Thank you so much and my nan absolutely loved Larry - she wanted to take him home with her.
We will be back again soon. X

Amazing building. Full of really nice artefacts. Extremely photogenic. Exterior is somewhat overwhelming. You must see the tomb of the sleeping sisters. It is just so emotive, yet a beautiful piece of sculpture.

Absolutely fantastic, beautifully laid out. There are areas that certainly activate heart-felt emotions. Dedicated and very friendly staff. Lunch and tea at the cafe a good recommendation. A great place for a special day's outing.

This is the second time we've visited and still so much more to see. We listened to the Far East talk which was very informative and will visit again to listen to some of the other talks. It was a lovely sunny day and we were able to wander round at will, plenty of benches to sit and reflect. Although the car park was busy the grounds are so large that it doesn't feel busy at all.
The food in the cafe was excellent, large portions and reasonably priced. We are vegans and there was a choice of 3 meals. We chose baked tata with chilli (huge portion) and burritos. They just need to extend the cake selection as there was only 1 vegan cake and it was a small slice.
We will definitely visit again.
