We did not go in (Covid restrictions and limited time), but it is an amazing building just to look at from the outside. And the Cathedral Close is a pleasant tranquil space to stroll around too.

Very interesting place to visit. Particularly advise a guide tour as we learned so much more than we would have.

After visiting Lichfield in the rain & why the food festival was on we were disappointed that alot of the attractions/museums we wanted to visit were closed. However saying that when we went to the cathedral we were beyond impressed with how stunning it was & found the staff both knowledgeable & were more than happy to answer any questions or explain any part of the building. A visit here is a must

Went during the Lichfield festival to see Seth Lakeman. Really good in a wonderful setting. Returned the next day to have a good look around.

Two of us revisited Lichfield and its Cathedral and spent longer taking in all the wonderful details of its interior. A marvellous place of worship along with its place in history as seen through the architecture.

No matter how many times I venture into this building it never ceases to please. During this weeks Lichfield Festival 2017 I was fortunate to patronise this gem on several occasions. Hearing Gospel Choirs, The Halle, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Sixteen - all gained an edge above and beyond the norm in this ethereal palace with excellent acoustic. I was pleased with an apparent change of attitude from the Cathedrals front of house staff. A new warmth and relaxed nature made a significant difference to the pleasure experienced.

This majestic and interesting cathedral is certainly one to visit. It is free and is very ornate both inside and out. There is a free leaflet which helps you understand what you are looking at (donations are optional)
