Beautiful architecture and stunning interior made even more fascinating with Nigel's (tour guide) knowledge. A bit of disruption from workmen who were setting up stage for evening performance. Would've liked to see the view from the spires but that's a separate tour, unfortunately. Also an additional fee to visit the library. However, definitely worth a visit with guide on this small tour too.

Staying in Lichfield we only had 90 mins or so to visit the cathedral.

Interesting history, well explained with numerous display boards and interactive screens. The volunteer guides we spoke to were very helpful/friendly. It's worth either doing the tour, or buying the guide book (£5) or both maybe.

Tower tour on offer at certain times.

Don't forget to visit the somewhat hidden areas, such as St Chad's Head chapel.

Came to see a performance of The Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Performance was excellent and the cathedral made the perfect backdrop. A very enjoyable experience!

Lichfield isn't the first cathedral on many people's 'to visit' list which makes for a nice relaxing and enjoyable time there. The building is fascinating with it's history of repairs and damage aswell as it's general history and the St Chad connection. Do take the steps up to his chapel and get some unusual views from a higher level.

The guides were very informative and there is a nice cafe very close by and plenty of nearby car parking too.

Impressive church in small city. Lots to see, quiet on a Thursday morning. Friendly welcome from the young person at the door, reasonable to ask for donation not admission fee. No toilets or cafe.

This three spired cathedral is really interesting historically and architecturally. There is no entrance fee ( but donations invited) and volunteers are on hand to provide useful information. Well worth a visit.

first visit with daughter for artisan market.. 15minute walk from train station. toilets and cafe across road.

very busy and a queue to get in the door because you are counted. lots of volunteers on hand. all friendly especially the lady in charge of giftaiding forms.

range of stalls inside. local businesses especially food. cake stall recommended. we tried sausage risoto from italian store. daughter enjoyed i found too spicy. no rubbish bins inside.

we were asked for a donation. happily given for an hour looking around the church and stalls. . a good community space.

impressive front with statues and doors. tower can be seen from across lichfield. intricate details. lots to see. good examples of stained glass

polite young lady in gift store . answer questions about saint chad of mercia. it is good to see young people involved in the church.. there is a statue but not information boards about patron saint

shame there were no tours of the tower. we will return
