What a lovely Cathedral, it's what a cathedral should look like both inside and out. Well worth a visit.

A large impressive building. Spent ages walking around. I always light a candle for relatives and friends who I have lost when I visit churches or cathedrals.

As introduced in some brochures, it is a three spired medieval cathedral. Had a Monday off and went to Lichfield to relax myself, the cathedral was the second place to visit and didn't make me disappointed. The inside architecture may not be so much different from other cathedrals in England, but the sculptures and carvings of saints in the walls outside really make a difference, which are marvellous and worth a good look.

I believe that it is important to take a few moments to appreciate the beautiful things in the world, this is one of them and one that you simply must visit. The stained glass windows are stunning and really worth a look!!!

Lichfield is a lovely city to visit, especially nice in the Summer when the gardens are at their best. The cathedral is just a short walk from the city centre, an easy walk, even for my Mum who has a walking stick! You can get to the cathedral from the bottom of the City centre, it's all cobbled stones, no cars, so it's a great place for old or children to roam the small shops that line the cobbled streets.
Once inside the cathedral you are impressed with the wonderful building, it's a real treat. The summer has special events on, and it seemed a friendly place to visit, not austere like some imposing cathedrals, I can't wait for Christmas when the place is decorated in red, with holly and decorations.
A lovely place to spend a few hours.

The Lichfield Catgedral is a great place to spend a few hours, all the history of the building itself and the statues on the from and the sides. The windows... And on top of that the amazing Lichfield Angel and pieces of the Staffs Hoard in display. The organ is great if you get chance to hear it. Afterwards pop into the Cathedral coffee shop opposite for a really tasty feast. Then the rest of the city which is lovely (including feeding the ducks!) is only a 5 minute stroll away.

What a wonderful site the Cathedral is. It stands proud. Quite easy access. You do not have to be religious to enjoy and appreciate an historical building. There is a park and ducks and swans on the water near by. Enjoy the shops in Damm Street. Have tea and cake enjoy the experience.
