What a lovely surprise. I had no knowledge about this gem and the three spired medieval cathedral. Lots of history and St Chad's gospels... beautiful inside. We were also lucky enough to visit when the museum of the moon was exhibiting. Very impressive. Loved it.

Wow! Took the kids ages 6& 9 here for the first time. They loved exploring only 50% was open as having work done towards the back. But still such a beautiful building inside & out. We saw the moon expedition it was amazing such a beauty of a display

They have the big inflatable moon in the nave at the moment, which has a high resolution print of the moon, illuminated from within, with a drone-tone audio accompaniment. Very impressive. The little side room with displays of relics and found items from the collection is worth a look. i always enjoy the tiny chapel through the shall door above the vergers office.
