An absolute must see if you are in the area. Free entry but donations can be given. The chapter House closes at 4 so ensure you see that first.

Lichfield Cathedral is simply stunning. The architecture, history, windows, quiet areas, artefacts, Staffordshire Hoard exhibition and various books are a revelation. Free entry is a bonus and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. You could wander around this place for hours there's so much to see. How it survives on donations who knows but this needs supporting.

The concept is great, and the grounds are fantastic: lots of space & beautifully maintained. But I struggle to see how "the Showman's Guild" warrants a memorial, whilst the atrocities committed by the British army kind of get swept under the carpet with very little explanation at the "Shot at dawn" memorial.<br>You need a full day here to appreciate it all - and even then you'd never see it all.
