Beautiful cathedral in a beautiful part of Lichfield, very pleasant guide inside the entrance, inside the cathedral is large but not as big as some, a lot of the cathedral has been renovated but still has lots of things to see, we also met a lovely lady curate called nest she was delightful to talk to. Well worth a visit

Famous for its three spires, this Cathedral is really spectacular. The architecture and stonework are outstanding with many carved figures both inside and outside. The stained glass is also outstanding particularly at the right time of day when the light shines through. There's a lot to explore here, and you should calculate at least 1.5 hours to inspect most of the artworks and monuments. The entry is free, and you're allowed to take pictures at no extra cost. Take advantage of one of the free tours as your really will get the best out of your visit. Don't also miss the opportunity to explore the Cathedral Close which has a story entirely of its own.

Nice to find a Cathedral in England that invites donations and does not charge steep admission fees. One felt immediately welcome to enjoy this magnificent building and its history.
Finding it is similar in style to the ruined Coventry Cathedral, was a particular positive for me having grown up in the latter city. Just on cue during our visit the organ started to be played, and the sun shone in the late afternoon through the west facing stained glass window - fabulous!

Lichfield Cathedral - Really great and well informed tour guide in Graham. Beautiful historic building and setting. Great day out to combine with Erasmus Darwin's house the other side of the cathedral green. The town is very nice as well.

A beautiful cathedral with great architecture. We walked all around the outside looking at the sculptures. Meet a choir singer who was very helpful and explained lots to my young son. It was a beautiful day and we will return again.
