We have been wanting to go here for such a long time but never got round to it, today was the day. It’s a massive place to walk around, it’s absolutely beautiful too & so sad at the same time. We paid £3 to park & that is for all day. It’s also free to get in, although there are guided tours which you can pay for. There’s loads of places to sit & rest. There’s a cafe & restaurant. All in all we will go back as there’s such a lot to see. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, young & old.

Four of us enjoyed a day out at the arboretum wandering round the hundreds of memorials to all people(& animals)involved in our countries' many conflicts since WWI.
The stories of heroism was humbling & made us realise even more-so what a debt we owe for our freedom.Its such a beautiful place with all the trees & flowers & the staff were very helpful & friendly.Great coffee shop as well as a restaurant.The train tour was very informative too.Great day out.

A humbling experience. A level of calm takes over once you enter the grounds and move further away from the hustle of the cafe and restaurants. You truly feel akin with the reasoning for the creation of this magnificent memorial to all who suffered and sacrificed their souls for all. Several visits later and I still feel emotional and sad...but also so immensely proud of every single member of the Armed Forces that is remembered in this stunning place. Do not hesitate to pay your respects.

Visited with my husband and mother-in-law today, after having booked just the day before. Our booking was for 2pm and on arrival we booked the land train for 2.30pm and the restaurant for 3.30pm. All staff were friendly and courteous. The land train was perfect as my mother in law can not walk any distances. I would love to return again and have a wander around some of the memorials the land train couldn't get to. The afternoon tea was one of the best I have tasted, and there was enough to bring a little doggy bag with us. I will definitely revisit.

It’s been a while since our last visit and things have changed so much it has increased in size and it take all day to get around it. We attended a service for the fallen and this was very special occasion followed by refreshments afterwards. We manage to see quite a lot during our visit but will return next year to see what we missed on this occasion.
The restaurant is very large and has a good menu and they do hot and cold food and snacks worth a visit. On site is a gift shop with a good selection of gifts.

What a place! An expertly thought through establishment. A beautifully maintained garden, expanding to 150 acres. For those who can't walk too far. There's mobility scooters for hire.<br>There's accompanied tours for those who can walk. There's a covered train and buggies as well.<br>A 45 minute train ride all around the fabulous gardens for £7 ... There's a food restaurant on site too.<br>All day parking for £6.<br>It's the best run place I've been to in years.<br>5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely peaceful place, a wonderful place to explore the many memorials to fallen heroes, and so many regiments. I think every part of the armed forces is represented here, together with civilian groups like police forces, the RNLI and others.
The trees are still young, and it will be good to come back again and again over the coming decades to see how the woodland matures.
The restaurant and shop are well served with friendly welcoming staff. And it is free (apart from a small car park charge) to visit.

Covers a huge area, beautifully landscaped and humbling in it's content. We used the land-train which tours the whole area slowly with an interesting commentary, ideal way to get an overall impression of this vast site before walking around the individual memorials.
Toilets are spotlessly clean, a restaurant as well as smaller stands serving drinks and snacks.
The whole place has a peaceful atmosphere and the staff are helpful and friendly.
You need more than one visit to see everything.

Visited the cathedral with my husband on a sunny early spring day. The cathedral has some of the best architecture i have seen with beautiful pieces dotted around which you can see and touch.Whilst not as spectacular as Canterbury it is free to go into and you may or may not make a donation.We felt it was a good attraction in a lovely quaint area.As with all cathedrals it was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful glass which they were raising money to preserve.Go along it is a good day out with cute tourist areas and some nice restaurants /traditional tea rooms around.
