Jon was absolutely fantastic. My drive was a mess after mortar spillage. Jon managed to get my drive looking brand new! We thought it couldn't be done but he did it. Very highly recommended!

Eddie called yesterday as planned and did all my 4 jobs and I have to say he absolutely excelled himself in my opinion. Servicing and checking the gas boiler and fire he has done many years since I've been a customer. But the other two jobs were both what I would call "fiddly". Easy to end up doing a bodge job, which is what I would have done had I attempted them myself. Not Eddie. He made the neatest job of replacing the insulation of the boiler condensate drain pipe so it looks thoroughly professional and with the cistern in the upstairs bathroom he not only replaced the washer which was worn and full of dirt and grit (after over 20 years) but replaced a lot of the working parts as well so my dinosaur cistern of 40 years old which appeared to be creaking on it's last legs and making funny noises is now purring like a Rolls Royce. I was impressed that he had the spares on his van which seems to be a sort of Aladdin's cave! Well done Eddie and thank you. The sort of standard of workmanship one hopes for but don't get very often.

What a truly amazing and awe inspiring this place is. The only medieval Cathedral with 3 spires, of which one you can climb inside on a Saturday. The staff are all friendly and most helpful and obviously have a great pride in the place they work. There is a smashing Cafe on the site as well so you can get a cuppa and piece of cake or more if you want it.

This beautiful medieval cathedral is well worth a visit. It is very well looked after and has some fascinating features including a book of gospels 1300 years old! Be sure to go into the Chapter House (it's free) to see this and also the Saxon angel. While you are in the Close be sure to have a look at Vicar's Close and Erasmus Darwin's house (Charles Darwin's grandfather). Be aware that the cathedral's Lady Chapel is currently being restored. If you get a chance attend evensong, sit in the choir and hear the lovely cathedral choir

But if you are in the area you cannot help but be blown away with how impressive this building is. The cathedral has three spires and I think maybe a little underated in the world of cathedrals?? If you sit by the lake to the east of the cathedral then you have a great biew; as on a sunny day, you get the view twice (reflected in the water) and add to that weeping willow trees, ducks quaking and a nice breeze then you are all set. Obviously not an all day event, just a welcome diversion; combined with a pub lunch and some shopping in Lichfield maybe?

Not my normal thing to review, but very few religious places look as impressive as Lichfield Cathedral in the UK
