Very impressive from the outside. Free admission to get inside, although they do ask if you want to make a donation. Excellently kept inside with plenty of different things to look at, old and new. Definitely worth having a look if you have 30+ minutes spare.

When visiting Lichfield , a visit to the cathedral is a must, The front is covered with statues and the inside has a lovely peaceful atmosphere,. we have visited so many times, free admission but donations requested.

Me and my family came to see the light show the other evening, it was nice to see the cathedral with all the special effects inside.

Was visiting the area over the weekend and decided to pop in to see what it was like. There was a friendly member of staff who was happy to help with any information which was lovely. Didn't get his name but he was a real gentleman. Definitely worth a visit if you are near here!

Lichfield Cathedral is a glorious building with many ornate nooks and crannies to discover.
The volunteers working their are tremendously friendly and helpful - they'll try to ensure you don't miss anything.
We enjoyed finding the angels on the map given to my daughter, it helped engage her in the history of the place.
It's free entry but with a suggested donation of £3 per person, a far from unreasonable request.
