We really should have done our homework, and as a result we were a left disappointed with the show. The title of the show suggested a more relaxing and intimate experience, during which we were anticipating hearing some orchestral performances of some of the Beatles' classic songs. While the four singers and the Cavern Club band were very talented, the show felt more 'cruise ship entertainment' than 'yellow submarine', which wasn't our cup of tea. A good show, I'd imagine, if you like musical theatre, though.

What a fun 'history lesson' and tourist experience all wrapped into one today! 👍 Graeme (our guide) was just terrific and I swear rivals Wikipedia with his knowledge of this area and English history that has shaped Lichfield and its absolutely magnificent cathedral! He is great with all ages and we enjoyed his lovely dry humour as well. You need to be able to manage some spiral staircases (up into the spires) to enjoy this tour, however for us it only added to the experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful architecture and stunning interior made even more fascinating with Nigel's (tour guide) knowledge. A bit of disruption from workmen who were setting up stage for evening performance. Would've liked to see the view from the spires but that's a separate tour, unfortunately. Also an additional fee to visit the library. However, definitely worth a visit with guide on this small tour too.

Staying in Lichfield we only had 90 mins or so to visit the cathedral.

Interesting history, well explained with numerous display boards and interactive screens. The volunteer guides we spoke to were very helpful/friendly. It's worth either doing the tour, or buying the guide book (£5) or both maybe.

Tower tour on offer at certain times.

Don't forget to visit the somewhat hidden areas, such as St Chad's Head chapel.

Came to see a performance of The Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Performance was excellent and the cathedral made the perfect backdrop. A very enjoyable experience!

Lichfield isn't the first cathedral on many people's 'to visit' list which makes for a nice relaxing and enjoyable time there. The building is fascinating with it's history of repairs and damage aswell as it's general history and the St Chad connection. Do take the steps up to his chapel and get some unusual views from a higher level.

The guides were very informative and there is a nice cafe very close by and plenty of nearby car parking too.

Impressive church in small city. Lots to see, quiet on a Thursday morning. Friendly welcome from the young person at the door, reasonable to ask for donation not admission fee. No toilets or cafe.

Absolutely beautiful building with its various alters. The high vaulted ceiling and sculptures are breath taking. Well worth a visit.
