Went for a 1944's day but was a little disappointed. There were singers performing through the day, actors putting on plays about war time and that was about it. The only static display was an American jeep and army truck. This may have been because it was a 1944 day and not a 1940's event which we have been to before where there was more going on and a number of stalls outside.
It was, however, quite a poignant day as there were around 200 bikers there from the British Legion Bikers Club who had gathered to remember fallen servicemen and women.
We will still go back if there is a 1940' s weekend on at some time.

Once again an excellent performance by the That'll be the Day cast. They never fail to give a top notch performance, well worth the ticket price. If they are in your area I can thoroughly recommend, you will not be disapointed. The Garrick is a well run theatre with good facilities and comfortable seats.Just to advise they are demolishing the multi story car park by the side of the venue this month (May 2024) so you may have a longer walk to the theatre.

Absolutely blown away by this place. We had no idea what to expect and were not disappointed.
Superbly thought out environment. The symbolism palpable.
Beautifully manicured environment, despite the adverse weather conditions of late.
Eateries on site good value. Little coffee shop has lovely coffee and equally lovely barista.
All the staff very friendly, chatty and clearly enjoy their jobs....unpaid!! Their enthusiasm and regard for the place very obvious.
It felt like a hallowed place where those who have given their lives in service to others are fittingly and respectfully remembered.
I can only imagine how those who have lost friends and family in the services feel when they spend time there.
Thank you for a great and thought provoking day.
