Had a wonderful day, spent 6 hours here, lovely, well looked after grounds, plenty of benches dotted through our, we came with, not one, not two, but five children, and with the few play areas , picnic areas and the Stickman Trail, they only complained when we were leaving to come home x

Very moving but also uplifting. The Shot at Dawn memorial is especially moving as all of the over 300 posts have the name and age of a man shot by his own side. Free to enter but car parking is charged. It's £4 if booked online or £8 a day if paid on arrival

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Arboretum (in the sunshine!). Booked onto a buggy tour with tour guide Mick and he was brilliant - he knew so much about the memorials and made it really interesting.<br>Would definitely recommend the guided tour - a fee of £7.50 per person was well worth paying.
