This is a wonderful place. The land train is well worth a ride. The arboretum is wonderfully laid out, the buildings are superb, the staff and volunteers helpful and the memorials beautiful and varied. The restaurant was really great too.
So glad we visited and will do so again.
Thanks to all who work there and who have been involved in bringing a concept to reality.

This was our third visit, the last one about six years ago. The place remains as wonderful as ever, it's been upgraded with a much better receptions, restaurant etc, The staff remain as helpful as ever.

A slight criticism would be that the restaurant is a bit chaotic but is was very busy.

If you have never visited, go. It is one of the great attractions in the UK.

This has a very large. Area to see all, the moments so it's easy, to go around on the aberbituem train. Especially when it's raining. But lovely in summer, such charm & respect to all Those who, was lost during the wars. I recommend visiting this place, but be prepared it's a large visiting centre, with restaurant & cafe at both sides of this place, beautiful scenery peaceful to walk around.specialy for the lost.

Great to stroll around. Mobility scooters etc available - call to arrange. Also has a land train to use for a nominal fee, restaurant and cafe on site. As at September 2016 many improvements to facilities being made, so will be even better soon. Pay to park (incl. Blue badge) but this goes back to the upkeep and there's no charge to enter the site.

I would recommend visiting this Memorial Arboretum to everyone. There are memorials to all including e.g. the ambulance service and RNLI as well as those serving in the military. It's a fitting tribute to them all those who have lost their lives in the service of their country. A heart felt thank you to them all.
On a practical note the services available are excellent. There's a beautiful restaurant providing a great choice of food and drinks.

Also wanted to say that the restaurant is fantastic and the service is always brilliant 😁😁 another visit on the 12th & 17th December 22 for the Arboretum Christmas Lights. Amazing show as always and the grandchildren loved them. Thank you and Happy Christmas 🎄🎅

In August 2016, Asha M said about Lichfield Cathedral
Our first sight of Lichfield didn't really excite. It seemed just a small row of houses with a pub as we drove along the main road. When we visited to see the cathedral we realised this is a town with a lot to offer. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs and of course the cathedral.
The shear size of the building, detailed stonework and the windows were brilliant.

I usually attend the Ride To The Wall, an annual event that raises funds to support the Arboretum.
When I have visited on quieter days, the whole atmosphere is very emotional, for me, more so than when attending the RTTW.
The facilities, including a cafe and self service restaurant, care of a high quality.
I can not recommend a visit highly enough.

Not only the cathedral is well worth visiting but the Erasmus Darwin museum nearby is well worth a visit too. If you have younger children the park is a great place to go to. There also plenty of nice shops and a lot of very nice cafes. The market on Saturday offers a good selection of items. If you want to dine in the evening plenty of choice too. I recommend both the Thai restaurants.

This was our first visit to The Garrick to see "Ventoux". The theatre is perfectly positioned with easy parking next door in the multi storey and only a few minutes walk to the nearby restaurants. Ventoux was a quirky show with the two actors being close enough to almost touch. A gritty performance highlighting the dark and tragic side of Le Tour de France
