Halloween also takes centre stage this month, with two family-friendly trails currently confirmed.
10 October–3 November – Halloween Puzzle Trail – 10am–3pm daily
Things are getting spooky in Beacon Park! Families can follow the Halloween-themed trail around the park, solving puzzles along the way before collecting a small prize at the end.
The trail costs £1.50 per trail and runs daily, making it a fun activity for weekends and the October half-term break.
17 October–3 November – Halloween I-Spy Trail
Keep those eyes peeled! Nine Halloween-themed tags will be hidden around Beacon Park for visitors to find.
This is a free, self-led activity suitable for all ages and can be enjoyed at any time during the park’s opening hours. It’s an easy way to add a little Halloween fun to an autumn walk.
There’s plenty to enjoy even after the Halloween clues have been solved.
Visitors can try the park’s new nine-hole Adventure Golf course, set within its woodland surroundings. No advance booking is required – players simply pay at the kiosk and collect their club and ball. During October, Adventure Golf is scheduled to open 9am–4pm, with admission currently £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.
Beacon Park also offers sports and recreation facilities, play areas and plenty of green space to explore, making it easy to turn a Halloween trail into a longer family visit.
Visitors can stop by the Ranger Station for information about the park and its activities, while the Discovery Hub is another important part of the park and is used for workshops, meetings and community activities.
Whether it’s searching for Halloween clues, challenging the family to a round of Adventure Golf or simply enjoying a crisp autumn walk, Beacon Park offers an easy and affordable option for anyone searching for things to do in Lichfield this October.
