Local care professionals in the Lichfield area refer people, with a food voucher, to the foobank centres where they are given their food supplies, a cup of coffee and help in finding other professionals who can help them out of their crises.
The foodbank allows the general public to contribute to and support local well-being in a simple practical way.
The Lichfield Foodbank is seeded by the Trussel Trust.
The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of foodbanks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis.
Thirteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year we gave 93,232 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.
