Welcome to Tango178 the home of Argentine tango in South East London. We’ve been running fun and friendly tango lessons and milongas (social dancing) for eight years.
Our ethos is about sharing the beauty of Argentine tango music and dance but also about building a community of lovely people to share it with.
We run weekly beginners tango classes every Sunday in New Cross, as well as classes for improvers and intermediate dancers. This is followed by a popular milonga. We also offer monthly tango taster workshops, private lessons and also host the occasional tango masterclass with international guest teachers.

FREE TANGO CLASSES OFFER
If it’s your first tango class with us, pay for one class and your friend gets in absolutely free. The rules are, it applies for one free entry per paying customer for the first class only. It doesn’t stop you bringing a brand new friend for free every week though!
Beginners & improvers tango lessons
We run beginners and improvers’ tango classes and a popular milonga (social dance) every Sunday at the New Cross House, New Cross.
Absolute beginners are very welcome. No partner required.
