Culcheth based Elan Homes site manager Darren Evans has scooped a second top industry award.
Darren earned a Pride in the Job “Quality” Award from the NHBC in recognition of his work at Culcheth Green.
Around 16,000 site managers competed for the prestigious awards, considered the site managers’ equivalent of the Oscars.
Darren is one of just 450 Quality Award winners, with only around 40 of them based on sites in the North West.
Judging for the awards is meticulous, covering every element of site management including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls site managers have in place and spot checks of the day-to-day running of the site.
Darren said: “Everyone who works on site at Culcheth Green is dedicated delivering quality homes. The award might have my name on it, but it’s a team effort.
“Being recognised for two years in a row is a real achievement. I’m proud of every home at Culcheth Green. Consistency is key and I’m committed to ensuring every home is finished to the same high standard customers expect from Elan.”
On a typical day, Darren oversees 40 people working on site at Culcheth Green.
It’s an intimate development of just 15 homes. Demand has been high and just a few months after the show home opened, the final few properties are now on sale.
Darren has worked for Elan Homes for five years, overseeing construction on sites across the North West including Altrincham, Middlewich, Stockport and Warrington.
Peter Crowney, construction director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Daren takes real pride in his work as the NHBC judges discovered during their visits to Culcheth Green. He’s a real asset to the business and his award win should give customers increased confidence that when they buy an Elan home it will be finished to a high standard.”
To discover the high quality homes constructed under Darren’s supervision, visit Culcheth Green, where the show homes are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
