A museum dedicated to the history of Kidderminster's famous carpet industry is to be created thanks to a grant of almost £1.7 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). It has has pledged the money to transform the Grade II listed Stour Vale Mill in Green Street, Kidderminster.
The 19th Century building was originally a carpet factory and the central attraction will be a working power loom.
Adjoining galleries will house archives and artefacts to show how the industry has developed in Kidderminster since the 18th century.
