We attended a private function at the hotel. The staff were all very helpful, room fine and bar was well stocked. The food however wasn't great. We had a set menu paid for in advance so maybe the restaurant is better. Our food sounded lovely on the menu but was actually pretty basic and bland considering the price per head. All in all we had a good night and the staff were great.

Why do some people that work within hospitality need to act so snooty? As a patron, I don't need to be made to feel that I have to keep the staff entertained by constantly asking for assistance and I don't particularly want to be bothered continually. Plus if a venue advertises themselves as somewhere great to meet for business, do not then show yourselves up by openly being adverse to business being conducted there. Have to say, the young female staff much more accommodating that most of the (what appeared by their attire) older male and female ones.
