My wife and I had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at The White Horse. All the staff were warm and welcoming, and the pub was clean and well tended. We shared a fried calamari which was wonderfully light and crispy. My wife enjoyed her chicken burger and the chips that accompanied it were crunchy and tasty. I opted for the Sunday roast beef which came with roast potatoes, broccolini, carrot, Yorkshire pudding and cabbage. The beef was tender and the accompaniments perfectly cooked as well. It was great - thanks!
Yesterday I had my 70th birthday party. What can I say? From the initial planning to the execution, everything was perfect. The food was excellent value and varied and both of our staff and catering staff were so good. The room was laid out beautifully and as requested, and a minor adjustment was made to the table arrangement at short notice. A special thanks to Jo and Rob, and the lady with the American accent behind the bar! Also, the lady who kept bringing food out and her assistant. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough for a party. Thank you so much.!
Went with family for breakfast very nice , gluten free catered for very well , bought 2candles from the shop , there are some very nice gifts to choose from
Disappointed! I came with my girls for a fun weekend but instead of it being relaxing it started off being very stressful. I was told there would be a disabled parking spot reserved for me. It wasn't. But a staff member found a nearer parking space. I then started to check in only to be told my room hadn't been paid for and that I would have to pay for the room. I should have just gone home. A friend helped and put my room on her credit card and i paid her back.My room was beautiful but I had to call reception 3 times before they answered and i had to request for the air con to be turned on. It was a very hot summers day. The room was lovely and the bed wasn't bad but the stress triggered a flare up of my chronic illnesses and something I am still dealing with. I was told I had a reservation at the hotel dining room. No reservation was made and that they would have to accommodate us. My dinner wasn't anything special and being vegetarian i didn't have much choice. The corn ribs where ok and the burrito and tomato salad. Had an odd taste so didn't eat it. The restaurant was busy and it took time for the food to come out. Kimberley and Leanne where hilarious and a shining example of how service should be done. I decided not to stay another night as I was feeling very unwell. It was a very disappointing 24 hours.
Delicious food and great service. We stopped here purely because of the Google reviews and it did not disappoint! We were driving from Cotswolds to Norfolk so this seemed like a god detour for lunch. The woman who served us was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, batter on the hallumi was unbelievably fresh and light! Pie was tasty too. Will be coming back when we drive across the country again as a great midway stop. Cute village too! 2 mains for £25 midweek!
