My Dad booked the Overstone Arms to provide a room and a buffet for my Mum's wake last Saturday. I don't know this area and was expecting sandwiches and crisps! I was surprised to be treated to the most amazing display of food. Beautifully presented, tasted great, and enough for twice the number of people we'd paid for.
The staff were discreet, but friendly and helpful.
It made a difficult day much more bearable for us.

Sunday carvery was very good, plenty of it, good selection of vegs, dessert delicious. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service. Our local pub so will be back again.

A true local. Great food and friendly atmosphere and a real local feel. It is clear that the villagers use this pub as a friendly meeting point, but diners are made to feel equally 'local'.
The restaurant is excellent, both service and the quality of the cooking. I will recommend to friends to give they a try.
Really liked the lunch we had, sat in the garden in the sun, such a nice location. Well worth a visit, recommended.

Good village pub with local alea and great food. The restaurant recently renovated and has a warm friendly atmosphere. Staff are fantastic and cannot do enough to help. A village pub at it's best!
The pub has been recently refurbished and is under new ownership. I would never have come into the Overstone Arms before but now it is amazing. All the staff are friendly, everything is reasonably priced and it is easy to find from the main road. They have a fine selection of real ales and food, far superior to previous offerings. Would definitely recommend.
