Der Zoo ist bekannt für die Tiergerechten Gehege und die Bemühungen für den Artenerhalt. Sehr positiv haben wir die Talks mit den Tierpflegern wahrgenommen. Diese waren nicht nur seh informativ sondern auch unterhaltsam. Man spürt das Engagement der Mitarbeitenden. Was uns etwas enttäuscht hat ist, dass die Gehege zwar sehr gross sind und im Gehege sicher auch Tiergerecht, jedoch ist das Ambiente der Gehegebegrenzung teilweise etwas trostlos. Zum teil Betonwände oder Gehege in einem Plastikgewächshaus. Dieser Punkt ist in anderen Zoos besser. Wie gesagt, im Gehege drin ist es sehr ansprechend die Tiere sind in der Natur und können auf richtige Bäume klettern und durch hohes Grass gehen. Dies hat zu Folge, dass man das eine oder andere Tier nicht gut sieht, was wir aber sehr befürworten da die Tiere sich so auch zurückziehen können. Wir haben einige Stunden im Zoo verbracht und konnten es mit den genannten "Abstrichen" auch sehr geniessen.

A really good zoo created by Gerald Durrel & a really worthwhile visit.<br>Loads to see & do over a large site , many different animals , birds & reptiles etc to see & in good enclosures too .<br>Decent gift shop & I was told the café/restaurants were good ( we didn't have time to visit them sadly) .<br>Keep up the good work

Great afternoon spent in the grounds of La Mare Wine Estate - we booked the Tour and then relaxed in the gardens afterwards, soaking up the atmosphere.<br>Chantel was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine was delicious.

Lovely day out, if you are on Jersey it's well worth a visit, the animals are well cared for and have lovely enclosures, the tamarin monkeys have the run of the woodland area, running free above your head.

Such a warm and inviting sports bar to hang out with friends after a long day. I went at night, so I'm not sure if food is served there. Our time was well spent. You can not get bored at this place. The staff is amazing, the place is tidy and well organized, and all games are in perfect working condition. It is such a vibe. Great job
