A truly important zoo to visit with plenty of wildlife, but no large animals like elephants, rhjnos, giraffes, zebras or wild cats.

A well ran/maintained zoo.
The family really enjoyed themselves and didn't want to leave the Butterfly zone.

Pick up a leaflet with a map on it before you go as they didn't have any when I visited. The map boards around the park are not up to date!
A lot of the cages are not very big.
I was expecting more rarer animals - as much as I love meerkats and capybara they're not in need of conservation help, they're in most zoos! I did wonder walking round what Gerald Durrell would think of the place now!

If you want a big zoo with lots of the common animals then Jersey Zoo isn’t for you. It’s a small zoo principally focused on conservation. It is visitor friendly and easy to get to by bus. There is an app but we didn’t find it very useful. Good place for kids, plenty of room to explore and lots of lovely unusual animals to see.

All very good, lovely and quiet, I'm still not convinced there are animals in all of the enclosures... But it was a warm day. Maybe they were hiding. Jersey zoo is the 1st place recommended on a trip to the channel islands. It maintains its reputation very well.

Whilst the sentiment of the zoo is wonderful, when I visited recently I felt the place was unkempt and run down. The outsides of animal enclosures looked untidy and grubby. The bat and sloth houses were closed. What animals there were, either slept or looked uninterested. Pens were empty. There weren't even many people there. The whole place is lacklustre. Some species weren't even endangered. One bird was on its own in a big aviary. I came away feeling disappointed. It could all do with a big spruce up. It certainly doesn't feel like the renowned world affair it is known for. It is possible they have realised it is not big enough to carry forth its name for this day and age.

Fantastic day out.
Animal keepers very informative and knowlegable
Bring water if spending all day here as the cafe is long from the far end of the zoo.
