The animals are amazing & the infographics for all of them are informative & eye-opening, there is so much to see.

We had a great time just wandering around & taking in all the sights & smells of the zoo, every part of it was amazing & I can't wait to go back!

We had a discount as they closed Gorilla & butterfly part. Kids would love it.

Great zoo, not too many animals but still worth the visit, charity shop is great, only issue is the gift shop was super expensive but the stuff was beautiful.

I love this zoo, now I do live just a 3 minute drive away, so that’s convenient but still it’s easy to spend a day out there without getting bored. There’s so many different animals that you can get really close to and there is also two restaurants to choose from, one in the entrance and the other inside the zoo which has a play area which really good for kids. There’s is also lots of exhibitions that definitely make it not the same thing again again.

I have mobility issues and was persuaded to use a mobility scooter. My travels around the zoo were stressless because of this, making the whole trip brilliant.

One of the best zoos I’ve been too. Smaller zoos show that it’s not about the animals they have but how it’s done. The whole zoo is so beautiful. The prettiest zoo I’ve ever been to. Walking around alone is worth it. The enclosures here are so big. The animals have so much space. You can tell it’s not about amusement but education and conservation. The talks were also informative and educational. Would definitely recommend. It was the highlight of our holiday

Arrived late morning. I recommend buying tickets a day or more in advance as that is when they are cheapest. Buying online on the day is a bit more expensive, but still cheaper than buying on site.
The grounds are beautiful to walk around and a welcome bonus to seeing all the animals. Whilst a small zoo compared to other more international destinations, my wife and I still spent several hours here walking around. Our personal highlight was the aviary you could walk through to see lots of Asian birds. I loved the java sparrow when it did appear.

Near the entrance is a lovely picnic area with the resident red-breasted geese chilling and relaxing on the grass. The cafe in the entrance sells takeaway coffee in case you need a pick-me-up before beginning your tour. Just remember to wear loose/baggy clothes as the reptile area, tortoise tunnel, and butterfly area are very warm inside! And if you have time, definitely take some time to visit the on-site charity shop. Got a few bargains to take home 😄
