Start by making your entrance welcoming - clean the front door mat, clear away dead leaves and dust by vigrously shaking it!
Vacuum your carpets, sofas and soft funishings, removing all cushions, hang them outside for an airing - if the weather is good!
Clean and protect all hardfloors including kitchen tiles and wooden flooring by deep cleaning and waxing where necessary.
Wash all your kitchen cupboards, inside and out, including all skirting boards with soapy water (dish washer detergent is good for this).
Clean all light fittings, blinds and vents - you will be amased at how much dust these gather.
Windows - get rid of the winter grime, wash inside and out.
