The Victoria Public House is a traditional community gastro pub that was built in 1865. It has been greatly extended and modernised and is run by Hitchin landlady Victoria Kevans.
From the moment you step inside this disceptively spacious Hitchin pub you will not be disappointed by the wonderfully kept real ales and welcoming staff. With a reputation as one of the best gastro pubs in the area. the food is home cooked and made with fresh produce from the local area.
For those of you looking for a tasty bite, you can try a selection of lovingly hand made Higgidy pies as well as lunchtime Baguettes, Toasties and irresistable old gastro pub favourites such as Ham, Egg & Chips or Homemade Chilli Beef.
For the more savoury food lovers, their flavoursome tartlets come with a hearty side salad - great for a lighter lunch!
