Brian met with Richard Scott the Marie Curie Cancer Care Community Fundraiser for Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester yesterday and he was telling him about a fabulous fund raising event that those with a bucket load of adventurous spirit might like to take part in.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump and experience the thrill of a lifetime!

The charity is calling on the people of Herefordshire to take part in a tandem jump in one of several jump sites across the UK.  This involves being strapped to a professional instructor and falling thousands of feet before they deploy the parachute.  Before the jump you will spend a day with the instructor to ensure you are fully prepared.

Money raised from people taking up the challenge will be used to support the Marie Curie nurses in the local community area, who provide practical nursing care and support, free of charge, to people in Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester with cancer and their families.  Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families.

So if you would like to experience the thrill of a lifetime please call Richard on 0117 942 7132 or email Richard.scott@mariecurie.org.uk
