We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the opening of The Palace Art-Fest last night, an exhibition in support of The Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival and Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust.
The rain poured down but it did not dampen everyone's enthusiasm for the sculptures and paintings on display. We also enjoyed a glass of wine and some delicious canapés.
The Art-Fest also gives local schools the opportunity to display some of their work.
The setting in the Bishop's Palace is wonderful and with sculptures dotted around the gardens it gives you ample opportunity to enjoy them and see them from lots of different angles.
Here is one of my favourite sculptures - Fence by Justine Cook
The Art-Fest is FREE and open to the public from 21st August - 26th August. Open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on weekdays and 10.00 am -5.00 pm on Saturday and 12noon - 3.00 pm on Sunday. Try to fit it in over the Bank Holiday weekend.
