My all time favourite meal, and I imagine it is a lot of yours too, is a Roast Dinner. There are a lot of places in Hereford that do a great Roast Dinner but the one I had at the Moody Cow was exceptional.

Today my grandparents, parents and myself went to celebrate my grandmas birthday. Despite being in the middle of serving a big table when we came in we had a delightfully warm welcome. We enjoyed drinks in the lovely lounge area and placed our order.

The whole meal was wonderfully paced from start to finish and they make a conscious effort not to double book their tables so you can have a leisurely meal.

I had the roast beef. The saying 'melt in the mouth' is all too often used but I honestly can't think of any other way to describe it. The gravy was rich, dark and packed with flavour. The red cabbage was perfectly balanced with spices. The potatoes were crispy and fluffy. The...... Well you get the message it was all delicious.

I really didn't have room for a pudding but they were all so tempting I couldn't resist. I had a very indulgent sticky toffee pudding with fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream. Suffice to say this followed suit with the rest of the meal and was sublime.

They are more than just a delightful dining experience, they are giving back to society and you can help.

If you donate just £1 either during your visit to the Moody Cow or by visiting the Virgin Money Giving page to support his ride up Mont Ventoux you will be entered into a draw to win a limited edition vintage bottle of Moet et Chandon Champagne

During 2015 the entire team at the Moody Cow will be helping to raise funds to support Water Aid. 650 million people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water, they have already started with the auction of our last Christmas pudding, the manager has started "training" for his epic bicycle ride in July and they have many other activities planned throughout the year.

Don't just take my word for it here's what people have said on trip advisor;

"From the moment we walked through the door, the service was warm, friendly and very efficient. The food, as many people have already reported, was nicely presented and really tasty."

"Have now been to Moody Cow for 2 Sunday lunches, the best food we've ever had and a regular conversation piece when it comes to roast dinners in our family. My family come up from Kent to visit me and there's no doubt that my first choice to take them out for dinner to is Moody Cow!"
