Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust is delighted and excited to announce that, for the first time in the cathedral’s history, the Nave of Hereford Cathedral will be opened to host a highly prestigious evening of dining and entertainment that will allow guests to enjoy it in a way that has never before been possible.
The Trust is planning a breath taking, memorable and high profile celebration, which will raise a substantial amount towards the running of our spectacular choir and the upkeep of this iconic building. It will be a truly atmospheric night that people will never forget. Apart from a sumptuous dinner and fine wine, guests will enjoy the beautiful sound of the choir drifting across the cathedral along with other spectacular entertainment all in the stunning surroundings of the Nave.
This is a first for Hereford Cathedral and a landmark occasion which emphasises how much the building welcomes visitors and wishes to maximise their enjoyment of it in a variety of ways.
The cathedral has hosted a major flower festival in 2007, a film premiere in 2011 and recently the ‘allpay Flavours of Hereford Food Festival’. The dinner will be its most impressive event, opening up this wonderful building to a new exciting phase and pushing the boundaries of what the cathedral can offer to the county, diocese and wider community.
There are opportunities for the local business community to get involved by booking a corporate table at this unique gathering and by advertising in the celebratory souvenir programme. Hosting such an event will be a stunning showcase of the major restoration projects and wonderful works that have taken place in and around the cathedral during the last 5 years.
Many people throughout the diocese and beyond are passionate about the cathedral and the acclaimed choir and work tirelessly to raise the funds necessary to ensure its future.
