Summit for the weekend!

Marie Curie Cancer Care has launched their range of mountain challenges for 2010 and are calling on the public of Herefordshire to sign to a great adventure.

There are popular treks to choose from including Ben Nevis, Snowdon, Dartmoor and The Black Mountains which all offer a great opportunity to enjoy some stunning scenery whilst raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Dates for the challenges are listed below:

Snowdon Mountain Challenge – June 6 or October 2

Ben Nevis Mountain Challenge – June 26, August 28 & August 29

Dartmoor Challenge – October 11

Black Mountain Range – April 25

Each trek will raise money to help terminally ill patients be cared for at home, by Marie Curie Cancer Care’s nurses in the UK.  There is a challenge for everyone and each offers different levels of challenge.

Community Fundraiser Richard Scott said “We really would love to have as many participants from Herefordshire as possible for these events. Not only is this a great personal challenge for anyone, but just imagine the satisfaction of knowing that your effort will help to give terminally ill patients the choice to die at home, supported by their families. We encourage individuals and groups to take on the challenge, and will give support and advice to all participants.”

Places are sure to fill up fast so if you think this could be the challenge you’re looking for, please call Richard Scott for your registration pack on 0117 942 7132 or email richard.scott@mariecurie.org.uk
