Seven things to do on the bank holiday weekend in Hereford with or without the kids.

Another bank holiday is upon us and I am sure most people like myself often find them selves wondering what to do and where to go. Well, I have searched high and low to come up with some ideas to hopefully keep us all out of mischief and have a bit of fun!

So as you will see as you read I have put together a list of 7 things to do in and around Hereford to suit all people big and small, young or old with the aim to help everyone enjoy this little mini break.

So at No.1 – Berrington Hall is a stately home just outside Leominster, Built by famous architect Henry Holland and is one of his few Masterpieces to survive today. The house its self is steeped in history with each room going back in time to a different era. The house is also surrounded by acres of gardens and wood, ideal for taking the kids to burn off some energy or build a den.

No.2 – Battlelands Paintball could be the place for you??? With prices starting from just £5 per person you should round up your friends and head on down. There are packages to suit all groups and party types and with 8 different games to choose from.

No.3 – Hereford’s very own Mappa Mundi and Chained Library which is located in the Hereford cathedral, which its self is worth a visit, the Mappa Mundi map is constructed on a single sheet of calf skin and Scholars believe it was made around the year 1300 and shows the history, geography as it was understood in Christian Europe in the late 13th and early 14th centuries.

No.4 - Herefordshire Raceway is a 600 metre outdoor go karting track, located near the village of Weobley, and surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside. It's the perfect place to experience go-karting, whether it's a fun day out, a launching pad to greater things, or as the thrill of a lifetime.

No.5 – why not go for a round of golf at any number of Herefordshire fine golf clubs. With more clubs accepting guests and new members it could be the ideal way to relax even at the 19th hole!

No.6 – Stunt Drive Uk – Book an experience day today and feel the thrill of driving a mini on two wheel or how about learning to Handbrake Turn, do donuts (360 spins), high speed parallel parking and much much more!

No.7 – The Hereford Cider Museum is an outstanding Museum telling the story of how the apples are and were milled and pressed, and the juice was fermented into cider. At the end there is a gift shop selling an extensive range of ciders to wet the whistle to.

We hope you have a great bank holiday weekend. Be good and be safe Hereford!
