Having just checked the RocknRoots Festival website www.rocknroots.co.uk I see that the festival has found a new venue at Chepstow Racecourse.
While this is great news for the festival-goers, the artists and the organisers, what a great shame that Herefordshire has lost the festival. To force the festival out of the county is a tragedy for local music fans, local bands, and of course all the local businesses that will lose revenue that the thousands of festival-goers will now spend elsewhere.
Here at The Best of Hereford we will lose out - our advert in the festival programme will have little impact in Chepstow, and the new ten foot vinyl banners that we have invested hundreds of pounds in will remain rolled up in the corner over the holiday weekend.
Never mind - at least we will enjoy the music and doing our bit to boost the Welsh economy!!
