We really enjoyed the opening night of Beauty and the Beast at The Courtyard last night – a real pantomime treat! If you have not yet booked your seats then do it now – it’s worth going just for the amazing version of Bohemian Rhapsody.
The performance takes inspiration from everything from classical ballet through West Side Story, Flashdance to the Rocky Horror show and the X-Factor.
The entire cast was superb and the singing of Arabella Rodrigo as Belle was enchanting. The junior members of the cast were brilliant all being children from Herefordshire.
Nick Smithers played the perfect dame as Madame Foufou – with plenty of innuendo for the adults and toilet humour for the kids – just like panto should be!
I’m sure the word will spread very quickly and this will sell out fast – so don’t hang about!!
