We have just been informed of an exhibition taking place in aid of the Charity Help for Heroes.

LEMORE MANOR, EARDISLEY : 12th & 13th NOVEMBER 2008

This prestigious exhibition will take place at the recently restored Lemore Manor, Eardisley, on November 12th and 13th. To celebrate Lemore's first anniversary as a special events venue, owners Ben and Margaret Owen are hosting a Grand Pre-Christmas Charity Art Show, throwing open to the public this impressive historical manor house in order to raise funds and awareness for the charity HELP FOR HEROES, supporting personnel wounded in current conflicts.

This major art event will open on Armistice Day, with a short speech by Major General Martin Rutledge OBE, General Officer Commanding 5th Division, representing General Sir Richard Dannatt, Chief of the General Staff and Trustee to the Charity, who will outline the aims of the organisation. The show opens to the public on Wednesday 12th November from 10 am to 7 pm and Thursday 13th November from 10 am until 4 pm.

A rich and varied display of art, textiles, jewellery, ceramics and sculpture from more than 30 of the border region's finest artists and craftsmen will lend a sumptuous air to this beautiful country house, and for anyone looking for a special Christmas present, there will be plenty to choose from. Participating artists include Marietta Alker, Jason Braham, Julienne Braham, Simon Dorrell, Carrie Ede, David England, Lois Hopwood, Sophie Jauncey, Corinna Kenyon-Wade, Guy Lester, Jane Meredith, Julian Meredith, Yen Robinson, Susannah Royle, Anthea Stilwell, Tori Sutherland, Islwyn Watkins, Pierre Williams, and Brontë Woodruff.

20% of all sales will go to the Charity, and there is a suggested entrance donation of £2. Refreshments will be available throughout.
