Sat 14 July for Tom's Homecoming gig. Excellent Venue. Well positioned opposite Pier. Staff and Security friendly and helpful. Very well run. Theatre is well laid out and all seats have good views. Of course Tom Chaplin was outstanding as usual. What a voice!

Visited her to watch a concert and everything was great apart from the heat. It was a hot day, I know, however in the bar upstairs it was so hot and strangely the windows were all shut. There was a fan behind the bar for the staff working there but nothing for the paying visitors. The auditorium was not as bad but by the end of the evening was still really hot. Staff, as is normally the case with places like this, were really helpful and friendly.

Myself and friends visited the White Rock theatre in September 2018 to see my relation performing in the Hello Again tribute to Neil Diamond, which is brilliant by the way, and found the theatre seating a bit strange. Side seats had a very strange view of the stage so I recommend not to book these if possible. Overall the theatre needs a lot of attention to the decor which is very tired and in need of a little tlc.

I had to write this review to show my disappointment.
I’ve been coming to the white rock for years. But the last couple of shows I’ve been to there has been no respect for others and management are OK with this!
There have been people high on drugs running in front of the stage during the whole show (and no I’m not taking about the special needs group who are fun); there are people being allowed in wasted and late and absolute idiots shouting out during ballads! Is this really acceptable? Are management really allowing this to happen?
There are people who have paid good money for a night out trying to watch shows that CAN tolerate their alcohol and come for a good time. Why allow the idiots in late only to piss off others??

Went with friends to watch the greatest show last night, the theatre itself is a little tired but was ok.. the lift is very slow and the doors wouldn't shut properly but eventually it worked! We were in the circle and had a good view of the stage.. the show itself was ok not brilliant and were disappointed it wasn't as advertised but we had been informed and chosen still to come... the singing in the most part was brilliant, the dancers a different matter one was pretty good, one just about ok, one was dreadful pulling ridiculous faces and really couldn't dance at all!! All in all an ok night but an ok is all it was worth.

Went last night to see Dirty Dancing. Front row of the circle, so excellent view of the stage. Comfy seats. Staff friendly. Went to the look before the show started, so missed the half time queue at the ladies.

It's showing its age, but still the best place to see shows in town.

Quaintly this place has charm relating to its rather tired 1960's appearance. The facade at the moment is being refurbished. The auditorium itself is can be entered without too many steps and the seats are comfortable with adequate legroom. Due to the wide construction all the seats are quite close to the stage leading to a degree of intimacy. The bars are spacious but lacking in character with a limited range of drinks and beer, unfortunately, being served in plastic mugs. However the staff were quick to recognise and deal with queues during the interval so we were served quickly. One downside, outside the theatre's control, is parking which is pay-and-display a long walk away down a cold and windy seafront. The show itself? Rather average and not as good as the television episodes but it was a sell out!

We went to see the Magic of Motown, really good. I purchased three bottles of fruit cider, one for the first half and two for my wife and I for the interval, absolutely shocked as I was charged just short of £20.00. That's taking the mickey.

Legend were fantastic, and a real great tribute to the late Bob Marley...excellent show.
However the review really is for them. The bar workers are inexperienced and very slow, and the drinks VERY expensive, and the bar closed well before end of show.
The lady greeting was a lovely lady and very helpful, but with the staff in place on this night, if anything had kicked off they couldn't have handled it, they struggled with the ladies dancing in the aisles. It is a lovely theatre, just needs a little bit more thought.
