We just saw what is perhaps the best live performance I have ever seen anywhere on the globe here at this small, but lovely theatre.
The Richard Darbourne production of 'Pride and Prejudice', starring Joannah Tincey & Nick Underwood was extraordinarily wonderful. For two actors to carry off 21 roles - and to do it so convincingly and with such conviction and complete habitation in each and every role - even when changing characters mid-sentence - this is truly one of the most memorable theatre experiences of all time.
As for the theatre itself, it is a delightful 1920s building that has retained much of its original character.
The staff are all lovely! Truly, I could not fault one of them.
The restaurant is delightful, although the food was a little disappointing, but in light of how glorious the rest of the evening was, it was a minor detail.
All in all, I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Cannot rate this little venue high enough. Staff are excellent, variety of shows are great and reasonably priced.

I live in Hastings and having the White Rock so close is great! Last night (Fri 3/5/13) I went to see Carnaby Street with Husband and friends. Great stage set, cast were brill, Musicians fab! Everyone that sang had very good voices. A really bright, happy and lovely night.
I have booked for several different shows coming up this year and really look forward to seeing them. I do hope they are as good as Carnaby Street!.
One comment, I wish the intermission was a bit longer than it is! By the time you visit the loo, order a drink, the bells are going to return to the theatre. It is not as if the show ends late, the evening shows are always finished by 10pm and then your looking for somewhere to go to enjoy the rest of the night. But well done White Rock, I hope you never go away!

My friend and I went to see Hot Chocolate which were really good. We booked the pre show food in thier restaurant and were very disappointed. Our food was not hot and we only ordered scampi and chips. We then had to ask the waitress If she would clear our table and could we order our dessert, the show was starting imminently. The staff seemed to be stood around looking busy. Great opportunity being missed here.

These guys are Great! The skill level is very high, and they give good product advice (but only when asked ;) ). I never feel rushed and always feel that if there was anything more they could do they would gladly help.
