Hastings & Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind is a local registered charity for local sight impaired. We are an independent charity, committed to providing access to services, support and encouragement and information to those with visual difficulties. We also seek to serve the needs of their carers and families.

Our Society is run by a dedicated and hardworking committee, a team of staff and volunteers.

HEALEY HOUSE

Owned and administered by Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind, Healey House is the only specialist residential home for blind and partially sighted people in East Sussex.

It has accommodation for 28 permanent residents in the form of 27 single rooms and 1 double room. Most of the rooms have en-suite facilities and all our residents are encouraged to have their own furniture and rooms decorated to their taste. There is short-term accommodation available for holidays and respite care. We have a fully qualified day and night care team, so you can rest assured in the knowledge that our residents are in good, safe hands.

Healey House likes to provide both its residents and their families a comfortable and safe living environment for all to enjoy. The grounds include a bright living room, cosy lounges, a quiet music room, and a beautifully kept garden.

Applications for admission should be sent to our postal address.
