kind, approachable, caring and friendly staff . They have helped our client in more ways than we could ever have imagined. They treat him as an equal whilst giving him guidance and advice and the ability to make his own good judgements . They have provided him with excellent skills which has lead to him passing an interview with a CV and he is now in paid employment . We have regular updates and contact with them and their handling of the Covid 19 has been exemplary, keeping in touch with all clients and their carers/families the whole way through.
The most valuable service we have come across .
on a personal note , our heartfelt thanks go to each and everyone of you guys for doing the most amazing job
Jenny , John , and all our gang 😊

Work in progress! Little Gate Farm has come from the disillusionment of Claire Cordell who wanted more for her daughter than a life that traditionally was offered in a day centre setting for many years. After 4 years it has developed and continues to develop in a good way. However there is much scope for development, for example could be offering office training N.V.Q and English and maths as many people are failed by the education system and do not have basic literacy or numeracy skills. In terms of teaching horticulture there could be an improvement in applied skills and theoricial knowledge, offering more structure would provide a platform. An excellent thing is work experience is limited as it seems many places put people in for work experience for extended periods with no propects of paid employment. Having worked with lots of job brokers I know this too well. The environment is pleasant, especially more so with new toilet falicities. This place needs regular funding as to provide much needed facilities. However improvements could be made, the area's of improvement are not so much the premises but the staff. Many people I have seen in various charities have not such a good attitude about people with disailities regarding them as not able to work due to there health. I believe the main challenge for the future of LGF is finding excellent staff who will inspire and raise aspirations. This truely is the main challenge for the place, and without all the staff being excellent and of high quality mistakes and standards will fall. However this means that recruitment needs to be of a very high standards, and I was pleased to be included in the recruitment process. I also think staff monitoring needs to be high as people can often say the talk at interviews but they do not follow this consistenty. On a more positive note this place is truely one of the best places I have seen supporting people with disability into work. Keep up the excellent work.

Little Gate Farm is a breed apart. As a special school, we have seen at first-hand how it is enabling children and young adults with learning disabilities to aspire to and attain paid employment within our local community. This in turn is changing perceptions, stereotypes and limitations that had previously been associated with learning disabilities. Their work not only impacts hugely on the individuals who utilise their services but also their families, friends, employers and the wider community as a whole. They are a forward thinking, innovate and compassionate organisation within our town and a great facilitator and ambassador for the positives aspects of difference .
Little gate farm is a fantastic charity, supporting young people with learning disabilities to grow, develop new skills, friendships and confidence. It is the only local business I know actively supporting people into paid work. It is fantastic the work they are doing. Every person I know who goes there loves it.
I have seen Little Gate Farm grow from a brilliant idea into a thriving sussessful working farm and the most wonderful essential environment for young people who have a huge amount of skills to offer, but very little support from elsewhere!
An exceptional charity doing pioneering work for adults and children with learning disabilities and autism! My brother attends here 2 days a week, his confidence has grown and I have every faith Little Gate Farm will find him a great job😊
Little Gate Farm is such an amazing place which supports people with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential, including having jobs and sustainable careers. I would recommend this service to all families.
This is an amazing business that cares and supports young adults with extra needs in to paid employment, they really go the extra Mile for all there clients and support them unconditionally, i cant rate this company high enough,we employ a young adult David and he is great .many thanks Ben Smith Appliances
Little Gate Farm is an amazing charity providing vital services to learning disabled adults and children alike. The Farm is one of a handful of organisations in the UK who are actively trying to find paid employment for learning disabled adults. Additionally, as the parent of a young learning disabled child, I cannot wait until she is a little bit older and can join the Young Rangers.
Starting from today, we will begin introducing you to the faces behind the operation! Our staff at Little Gate do a fantastic job of facilitating opportunities for our trainees and coaching them😊
