Wormholt Park Association is now a Friends group, and is going from strength to strength with over 70 members now, and elections for the committe for 2011/12. The group has £1.05M to spend in conjunction with the council on park development over the next year, and it promises to be a very exciting time for the area. Thebestof has kept the group at the forefront of local news and businesses which is essential for outreach.

As somebody who often forgets how to relax, The Happiness Centre is an absolute jewel. You step off the street in busy Shepherd's Bush into a light, airy and warm reception, with exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Vijay Netto, Osteopath & Cranial Osteopath, is my usual Osteopathy therapist. Vijay is extremely knowledgeable and listens to my catalogue of problems with a good sense of humour. He takes the time to explain his thorough diagnosis of problems and how his treatment is intended to work, and he often uses a combination of different techniques including Acupuncture . He takes a holistic approach to my aches and pains rather than simply treating symptoms, and I leave every session feeling relaxed, but more importantly, feeling better. I have suffered from injury and pain for many years, and tried a huge variety of therapies. The Happiness Centre has been invaluable in helping my recovery, and I would highly recommend it to anybody hoping to treat injuries, alleviate pain, or simply treat the body to some decent relaxation

So far in 2011, 20 patrols have already been carried out in the Tsavo East National Park and the Masai Mara Reserve, removing dozens of illegal wire snares set to trap wild animals. Healthy Planet's donation will help us save almost 10,000 animals from horrific injuries and a painful death.

In the first month since a public meeting on 22 February, 70 people have become Friends of Wormholt Park!! There is a real buzz growing locally and now is the time to get involved. 2011 is going to see the start of this neglected, but much loved, local park turn a corner and become a real community gem in W12.
