Refreshed or tired with the summer holidays?

Good mother or bad mothers club? How are you coping with the long summer holidays? Stuck at home, going away or working full or part-time the halcyon days of lazy hours in the sun, chasing butterflys, lying inert on beaches, building summer camps or whatever is your thing - it's just not happening is it? For me it's racing at breakneck speed up and down the A1 to make appointments and then get back to pick up my daughter wherever she may be based. I recognise I am lucky enough to have a couple of great friends and a mum in Barrrowby. I am also a woman so I can multi-task; however the juggling of so many balls can be wearisome. A week in Cornwall just wasn't long enough and I came back as grumpy as when I left. The packing, the travelling, the husband for whom everything is a military operation, the road rage (my god the M5 was worse than the M25 that Chris Rea Road to Hell) the travel services loos. Oh yeah I might just belong to the bad mothers club! The Guilt!

There is help at hand. The EM Centre, Grantham is always worth having a look at - they normally have actvities for children of all ages; for younger children you have Crazee Bongos in Sleaford which my nephew who is 6 loves and then there is always Belvoir Castle, Belton House and Park.

Any tips on how to juggle those balls over the holidays more than welcome!
