There are lots of family activities and events this Half Term  in Grantham - here are some of our suggestions:

  • Why not try something different? Being healthy doesn't need to be boring!
    Zumba Fitness is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers and contagious steps to from a 'fitness part' that is downright addictive. Ideal activity for Mums and daughters. Oceans in Grantham has just started classes.
  • Wear your spookiest costume and join Belton House for their Halloween Family Fun Trail (plus Pumpkin Trail for tinies). Masks & Crafts in the Discovery Centre. Fearsome Face Painting (£3). Spooky Stories in the Stables. Frightening Food in the Restaurant. 22nd Saturday and 23 Sunday of October, 29th Saturday and 30th Sunday of October, 11am -4pm
  • Bollo's Birthday Surprise at The Guildhall, Grantham October 25. Will Phil and Aimi manage to keep his surprise party a secret as preparations cause chaos and lots of mess? Featuring catchy songs, simple sign language and plenty of laughs, this show is suitable for all the family. As a real treat, the show also features spectacular ultra-violet puppetry!£6.00 / £5.50 / £20.00 family of four
  • Christmas lights switch on at Springfield Outlet Shopping October 27 with Emmerdale Brothers Carl and Jimmy King
  • Come and Have a Go at Grantham College 27th, 28th and 29th October, held at various locations; try lots of fun bite-size taster sessions from cupcake making to mechanical engineering. There is something for everyone
  • Are you fans of Wallace and Gromitt? If you fancy a go at making your own stop-motion animation - look no further! This fantastic workshop at The Guildhall Grantham on October 28 is for beginners who want to learn the basics of animation from developing ideas, making models, designing sets to animating, all in one day. By the end of the workshop, you'll have your own film to take home and show your family and friends. Move over Nick Park! £21.00. 10.00am to 4.00pm, 8 to 16 years.
  • Hansel and Gretel, Image Musical Theatre is also at the Guildhall on October 28 and is suitable for families
  • 29 October is the reopening of the Market Place and official unveiling of the Orrery artwork in Grantham.  End the half term with a family fun day and get ready for the Halloween Festivities. Street entertainers, pumpkin competition, cookery demonstrations, simulated rides, fun fair.10pm-3pm
