I was introduced to Chiropractic after seeking treatment for low back pain which I sustained from training and competing in the 400m hurdles and I have to say I was amazed at the results and fascinated by the range of techniques used. I was so intrigued I decided I wanted to know more. And as it happens the more I learnt about Chiropractic treatments the more I knew that it is was what I wanted to do. My initial degree was a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry and Sports Science at Loughborough University which enjoys an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. I then went on to pursue a career as a Chiropractor and graduated with a Masters from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. I just want to dispel that myth that Chiropractors don’t have any formal training. The course was a full time four year university masters degree which was intense and extremely demanding, but very rewarding at the same time. I love the day to day life of being a chiropractor and repeatedly seeing the benefits I have on my patient’s makes all the studying worthwhile. The results make me passionate about what I do. Since then I have done a variety of post graduate courses including medical acupuncture and a PG(Cert) in chiropractic clinical development. I love learning new skills and increasing the number of techniques I have at my disposal. I also like to keep up to date on current research ensuring I give the best possible care to my patients. I am registered with the General Chiropractic council and a member of the British Chiropractic Association as well as the College of Chiropractors.
