Thorns Farm B & B is receiving a lot of glowing testimonials for their self-contained accommodation. I know Grethe and have visited Thorns Farm a number of times and can personally testify that the rooms, the lay out and the views are fantastic. A minute off the A1, just outside of Grantham, you drive down to the farm and you could be in another world. You cannot hear the traffic, the vista is superb and the welcome is always warm.
Having looked at the rooms; they are a great size if you are staying a week or more; they have all the necessary facilities so you can cook for yourself if you just want to come back and chill, your own front door is away from the main house so you have the freedom to come and go without disturbing anyone else and the accommodation is just off the A1 if you are working near Grantham or Newark.
I would recommend any business looking for accommodation for staff or employees visit Thorns Farm themselves and see why Grethe is getting so many great reviews.
An update for our regulars. Still no calf. Grethe tells me that the poor mother is very big and of course it is soooo hot for her. Grethe said, 'I do feel for her, because 24 years ago it was me basking in the sun waiting for our first son to be born. Due 29/6 born 13/7. Two long weeks!'
Mother hedgehog and 6 hoglets (1 died) are doing great. Grethe was told at the weekend that the hoglets might come back to Thorns Farm in a bespoke enclosure before they are released into the garden.
